5 Tools to Kick Start Your Video Marketing

By Tom Augenthaler In Tools

I think its safe to say 2015 has been a big year for video marketing, especially as many estimate video accounts for half of all mobile traffic.

With that in mind, 2016 should prove to be even bigger.

As video becomes the primary avenue for people looking to satisfy their information and entertainment means, brands are increasingly focusing on developing video content as a means of marketing and reaching their customers.

Why?  Because videos are engaging, and offer multiple opportunities to add value to an online marketing strategy.

Whether you run a small business, or head a global company, you can no longer afford to ignore video as a means of connecting with your audience.

But the challenge for many web site owners, small businesses, bloggers and big brands lies in creating videos without a professional’s help.

So, to help you out, we’ve curated a list of tools that can help you make engaging videos for your audience quickly, easily and for the most part, inexpensively.

But what if you don’t really know anything about shooting video?

Not a problem. A number of the tools we highlight here can help you take already existing photos, slides and music and turn them into something more appealing and engaging visually.

And that’s one of the main reasons video is so powerful: its more engaging.

Okay, so let’s get started.

Here are the top 5 tools we’ve identified for you …

#1: Wideo

Wideo

Launched in 2012, Wideo is an online platform that lets you create and share animated videos online.

It is simple to use and easy to understand even for a novice which is always good. You can personalize your videos by adding your logo or branding, or keep it simple and use a pre-made template provided by Wideo.

They have a four step process that makes it simple to create beautiful animations.

It goes like this: after inserting objects and images, you can animate your image and text to bring it to life. Wideo allows you to create a seamless video using their editing tools, and you can share the video in high definition using their sharing options.

You can use Wideo for free for up to 45 seconds. Admittedly, I wish it was a little longer, but …

The good news is that the Plus, Pro and Agency plans, at $9, $19, and $39 per month respectively allow you to make longer videos and offer more features as well. So, the pricing is not out of line.

Not worried about money? Hire one of Wideo’s designers to help create your video.

#2: Stupeflix

Stupeflix

Stupeflix allows you to make free, unlimited videos, up to 20 minutes long.

The service is also available as an app.

Stupeflix is easy to use. Just add photos, videos, text and music as needed, and use their convenient editing tools to create your video.

The themes provide a good foundation for your video, and you can also take advantage of voice over recording features. Since you’re importing images, video and text from a number of sources, you can focus on telling the story instead of creating every frame from scratch.

As mentioned earlier, you can make videos for free, as long as they are less than 20 minutes long.

They cannot be downloaded, and are available publicly. For $5 a month, you can download videos in 360p, with options to pay more for each video you want in high resolution.

The Pro plan, at $29 per month, unlocks a lot more features for professionals and agencies.
